The FAA has made changes to the aircraft registration experation/renewal periods to help all of us out!

Aircraft registration is now good for 7 years! (Previously 3 years). This is automatically done for any aircraft expiring after January 31 2023.

Additionally, temporary registration "pink slips" (form 8050-1) apllication forms are now good to fly on for 1 year (previously 90 days). The down fall of this, there will no longer be letters of temerity registration extension issued due to the change.

This has gone active as of today 1/23/2023, but is currently in 15 day comment period.

If you are unsure of your aircraft has been grandfathered in or when your new expiration is, go to www.FAA.gov and search your registration number in the N- number quick search block on the right side of the page.
