Downsizing, hitting the road, and proving every mile… It Will Be Fine. We’re Glenn & Karen — married 39 years, best friends forever, and finally stepping into a chapter we’ve dreamed about for decades. After serving 20 years in the United States Air Force, and then 15 years in Federal service, Glenn recently retired. With both of us now 58, we decided it was the perfect time to simplify, reset, an

d begin our long-awaited adventure into full-time RV living. As we downsize our sticks-and-bricks life and prepare to roll out in our Fleetwood Discovery LXE — lovingly named Sterling — we’re documenting every step of the journey. From letting go of the things we no longer need, to preparing our home for sale, to learning the rhythm of life on the road, we want to share the real moments: the lessons, the laughs, the challenges, the wins, and the miles ahead. The RV community is filled with amazing people, including many fellow veterans and public servants. To all of you — thank you for your service. We hope our journey encourages and inspires you, whether you’re planning your own transition or simply curious what it looks like to reshape life at 55+. Through every chapter of our marriage, one promise has always guided us:
It Will Be Fine. And now, with the road stretching out in front of us, we’re thrilled to begin this next adventure… Fine Together.

🌅 Great Food, Incredible Views & a Little Surprise 🌈

Have you ever had one of those dinners where the view was just as memorable as the food?

Last night we had dinner at Copán Sunset Sky Bar here in Mexico, and it did not disappoint! 🇲🇽

The food was outstanding, the views were absolutely gorgeous, and as if the evening needed anything else, a beautiful rainbow decided to make an appearance. 🌈❤️

And for those who partake in a few libations… 🥃😂 Glenn tried a drink made with mezcal, amaretto and Kahlúa.

Let's just say that recipe may be coming home with us! We're definitely going to try recreating that one somewhere down the road during our travels in Sterling. 🚐🍹

Good food. A beautiful sunset. A rainbow. And another great memory from our 40th anniversary trip.

Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the view. ❤️

You never know who might stop by for lunch! 😂

We were sitting out on the patio enjoying the afternoon when we noticed a couple of iguanas having their own little snack in the grass. 🦎🌴

No reservations. No waiter. Apparently the lawn is an all-you-can-eat buffet. 😂

We could definitely get used to afternoons like this—just sitting back, slowing down, and enjoying the unexpected little things around us.

Mexico continues to entertain! 🇲🇽❤️

Sitting here listening to the waves and getting more excited about the journey ahead. There’s still one pretty big piece of the puzzle we’re waiting on — selling the house! 🏡🤞

We’ve spent a long time planning, preparing, fixing, selling, downsizing and getting Sterling ready. Now we’re getting very close to the point where the planning becomes the adventure.

For today, though, we’re going to enjoy the ocean, appreciate where we are, and trust that the rest will come together.

It will be fine! ❤️🚐🌊

We thought we’d start the morning sitting by a quiet pool before heading to the beach. 🌴☀️

Turns out… we have the entire pool to ourselves! 😎

Coffee, sunshine, a private pool, and the beach still to come. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning in Mexico. 🇲🇽🏖️

Sometimes the best part of the adventure is simply slowing down and enjoying where you are.
