was founded in 1973 and consisted of a single facility located at Shilshole Bay Marina, Seaview West Boatyard. At the time of its inception, the yard primarily performed haulouts for annual maintenance and some minor repairs. As the needs of our customers grew, so did the list of services we offered. By 1985 we had outgrown the space at our Shilshole location and added a larger facility on the Shi
p Canal in Ballard, Seaview East. This new facility enabled us to bring in-house many of the services that our customer had previously hired outside contractors to perform. With this increase in services and capacity, our customer base expanded to include many vessels from Seattle’s legendary fishing fleet as well as a number of other commercial vessels. In 1997, the facility at Seaview West underwent a complete renovation, including the construction of a state-of-the-art indoor repair facility and expansion of the existing outdoor facilities. In the spring of 2002 Seaview Boatyard leased a multi-acre site at Squalicum Harbor Marina from the Port of Bellingham and opened the yard that fall with a 35-ton travelift. Shortly after we began construction of a new travelift pier and in November 2004 Seaview North took delivery of a 150-ton travelift, the largest lift north of Seattle. In 2008 Seaview opened its newest facility, Seaview Yacht Service Fairhaven on Bellingham’s south bay. The Fairhaven Yard houses four indoor, heated repair bays which enable our technicians to efficiently perform weather sensitive repairs and restorations regardless of the season. In 2011, Seaview Boatyard once again expanded operations, acquiring a 30,000 square foot indoor heated storage facility adjacent to the existing Fairhaven repair yard. Additionally, with the closure of Seaview East and expansion of services at the West Yard at Shilshole Bay Marina operations in Seattle were consolidated in a single location to maximize efficiency and continue to provide Northwest boaters the high level of service they have come to expect when working with Seaview Boatyard.
