Windworks Sailing and Powerboating Windworks Sailing & Powerboating has been the premier sailing club of the Northwest since 1992. Windworks is Seattle's premier sailing club.

Situated just 6 miles north of Seattle at Shilshole Bay Marina, our location offers convenience for sailing students, club members and charter customers. We welcome everyone, from the beginning to end of their sailing journey. We want you to gain your sailing knowledge from our outstanding US Sailing certified instructors, then use our fleet to practice your new skills! Windworks is an active, and social sailing club that offers events, membership appreciation benefits, clinics and more! Looking for a sailing yacht or powerboat of your own? We have several beautiful and very well-maintained boats for sale. And best of all, if you keep your boat in our fleet, you will still get to use your boat as much as you want, you will get a substantial reduction on the sale price, no sales tax, as well as peace of mind knowing that Windworks will take care of the details of boat ownership for you! Ready to take your first overnight cruising trip? Or have you already reached double-digits?

Join us October 24–25 for a weekend flotilla from Seattle to Langley on Whidbey Island!

This trip is designed with beginner cruisers in mind but all sailors welcome! We are pairing newer sailors with experienced mentors so you can build confidence on the water without committing to a multi-day voyage.

No prior cruising experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We will host an optional pre-trip meetup to walk you through gear prep and what it's like sleeping aboard.

Non club-members curious about cruising are welcome to join the flotilla to dip their toe into the experience.

Once we tie up at the Langley marina, we will explore the town together with group dinner, local w**e tasting and other activities, and time to wander the shops and galleries.

Four of our luxury cruisers ranging from 47 ft to 38 ft will be available for the flotilla.

Loved the thrill of the Downtown Sailing Series? Keep the adrenaline pumping with the Windworks Match-Racing Series!

We’re putting head-to-head racing front and center with our two Catalina Sport 275s — Wicked Wind & Magic Wind! This is fun, entry-level, tactical racing featuring unique courses and different destinations every session.

No spinnakers to worry about—just pure, tactical, head-to-head sailing! Buy a seat, jump on board with an experienced captain, and learn the fundamentals of match racing firsthand while enjoying the ride.

Race Schedule:
Oct 17: Race 1 - Line Honors
Oct 24: Race 2 - Match-up Challenge
Oct 31: Race 3 - Special Halloween Finale (costumes encouraged)
