It’s the Great ShakeOut! Emergency preparedness is a year-round priority at Sound Transit. Today, we’re joining people across the region in practicing what to do during an earthquake: Drop, Cover and Hold On.

Take preparedness beyond the drill! The ShakeOut is also a great reminder to review your personal preparedness plans. Consider asking yourself:

- Do I know the safest places to take cover in my workspace?
- Am I familiar with my site's emergency procedures and assembly locations?
- Is my emergency contact information current?
- Do I have emergency supplies at home, work, or in my vehicle?
- Has my family discussed how we would communicate after a major disaster?

Through our partnership with the YMCA of Greater Seattle , young people are getting the chance to experience new places and new possibilities, together.

Because sometimes, a ride is more than getting from here to there. 🚆✨

It’s a chance to experience something new.

To discover joy.

To have fun.

To explore.

To make a memory.

When we connect people to places, we can also connect them to possibility. 💜
