Basic GPS tracking breaks down at three points: shift handoffs, jobsite arrivals, and yard moves, the moments dispatch usually finds out about after the fact.

Zonar Ignition covers all three in one view.

A truck's GPS tells you where the truck is. It says nothing about the trailer it dropped off or the equipment left on-site.

Zonar ZTrak tags that equipment directly, with battery life measured in years and a theft-recovery mode if something goes missing. Fleet visibility that covers the whole fleet, not just the trucks.

Before you budget for a telematics install, pop a few hoods.

Plenty of commercial vehicles come off the line with Zonar hardware already built in through OEM integrations. If yours did, you switch it on in software the same day you decide to, and nothing sits in the shop waiting on a tech.

Tap through the checklist.

A public vehicle breaking down mid-route does not wait for a good time.

Most of those problems start small: a fault code nobody caught yet, an inspection note that never turned into a work order.

Zonar FaultIQ flags engine problems in plain language before they become a roadside call. Zonar EVIR turns inspections into a same-day work order instead of a stack of paper.

How many fleet systems does the average manager use in a week?
More than most can shake a stick at.
Each system serves a purpose, and each one generates a firehose full of fleet data.
Doesn’t mean all those systems talk to each other.
Or know that the other systems even exist.
Many fleets want guidance. They want a clearer view of their operation and a practical plan for getting more value from their technology.

For channel partners, helping customers connect the dots opens the door to larger projects, stronger relationships, and ongoing consulting opportunities. Everyone wins.

A truck's GPS always knows where it is. The question is whether the network can get that location back to the dispatch screen, especially in a canyon, a parking structure, or a dead zone with no cell tower for miles.

Zonar's V4 telematics device switches to multi-satellite connectivity when cellular drops, so the update keeps coming through.

Bad workmanship and fuel contamination are expensive habits.

ZFuel helps Tim's team catch both early, and gives them real leverage with their own fuel supplier.

"One of the best tools I've personally used," he says.

A school bus can drop off the radar without ever leaving the route.

The pause after the last drop-off, the stop that isn't on the route, the trip that isn't the regular run: three ordinary moments where school bus fleet tracking usually slips first.

Zonar Bus Suite keeps the radar on through all three, so school transportation management always has a current answer.

Districts can recover over a million dollars for their schools, if they have the right set up. Do you want to learn how to access these funds?

Transportation for students with disabilities draws on school-based Medicaid, IDEA, state categorical aid and grant programs. Knowing which dollars apply, and keeping the ridership records to claim them, is where most operations lose ground.

Who you hire is who you are liable for.

In May, the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 in Montgomery v. Caribe that brokers face negligent hiring claims under state law when they pick unsafe carriers. Last week, FreightWaves reported that six carriers are suing C.H. Robinson and TQL under federal RICO law, alleging the brokers knowingly moved freight with non-compliant carriers. They are accused of hiring chameleon carriers, companies that shut down a flagged DOT number and reopen clean under a new one.

Two separate cases, one lesson for fleets. FMCSA ratings, CSA scores and inspection history are public record. Checking them is step one. Documenting that you checked is what defends you.
