There's a quiet thrill in watching a custom-built yacht leave the high bay for the first time. These photos capture that moment: ZEMBRA on wheels, her Arizona bronze metallic paint, from mast to hull, catching the light just right.

She carries what exploration asks for: a certified helipad, an amphibious aircraft, a three-person submersible, built to put an owner somewhere few others reach. Years of planning, finally on wheels.

Today, we remember what set Delta Marine in motion.

What started as two brothers chasing speed and breaking world records on the water became a legacy that has since delivered more than 600 commercial vessels and 52 yachts. If you could dream it, they could build it – from “Screaming Yellow Zonker,” a flat-bottom racer that once hit just shy of 104 mph, to ZEMBRA, a 152-foot explorer yacht carrying her own submersible and amphibious aircraft. Founders Ivor and Jack built Delta Marine side by side starting in 1967. Almost six decades later, the Jones family still carries the same dedication forward.

Introducing DELTA + B&R 500, a new collaboration between Delta Marine and Bannenberg & Rowell Design, the London studio founded by Jon Bannenberg, the father of modern yacht design, now led by Simon Rowell and Dickie Bannenberg.

Fifty meters. Sub-500 GRT. Scalable across a full 50- to 75-meter range, with a 65-meter variant already underway.

The hull tells the story before you ever step aboard. A run of creases across the surfacing forms a subtle triangle motif, a delta, built into the form itself. This surfacing language continues throughout the design: aerodynamic angled canopies, sculpted aft bulwarks, reverse-angled window apertures aft. Together, they create a cohesive profile that conveys movement, precision, and strength.

Below deck, a diesel-electric hybrid system pairs podded drive units with integrated energy storage, full performance, meaningfully less fuel and emissions.
