𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗸

Hitchcock, Texas — October 17, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m. — The 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳’𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 was called to assist the Hitchcock Police Department with a boating accident.

Preliminary information indicated that one male and one female was ejected from the vessel. The female was located and Life Flighted to UTMB Galveston; she is currently in critical condition.

The Sheriff’s Office 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 began recovery efforts for the 26-year-old male. He was later recovered from the water and pronounced deceased at the scene.

𝗧𝗲𝘅𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 are the primary investigators of the incident. The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, including the 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 and 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁, are assisting Texas Parks and Wildlife with the investigation.
