Well, that's a wrap folks. After 21 years, 3 different boats, dozens of captains and crew, and so many friends we lost count, the Lady Tracey Ann has run her last trip under that name. She will live on under a new name at a new home, but will continue to do what she does best: take people out fishing and help them forget about life for a while.
Some of us grew up on the boat, and others grew old but for all of us, this is part of our lives and the boats themselves will always hold a special place in our hearts. We've overcome breakdowns, hurricanes, closures, and a global pandemic in order to make the LTA the successful and "fun boat" we all grew to love. Few have been around the Eastman's docks for long and not been impacted by the captains and crew of the LTA. It will be a tough day for all of us the see the boat leave the East Dock for the last time, but such is life. New adventures are in store for all of us and it is time to end this chapter of our lives so new ones can begin.
Our write up would be incomplete without acknowledging the larger community that has made this possible. We would like to thank the Eastman family (those with and without the last name) who have made a place for us in their company and help solidify our mutual success. We also want to thank our wonderful and talented crew who insured the boat's success. Whether you worked on the the LTA for a few days or a few decades, you likely made personal sacrifices for the sake of the boat that no amount of money can compensate. Finally, we want to thank the community that we have operated in for so long. Our friends who have helped us and the debt we owe them are too innumerable to measure, but we hope to one day be able to do for you all what you have done for us.
We hope to see you soon on the East side of the Hampton Bridge doing what we all love: going fishing. Stay salty!
Best Wishes,
The Godfroy (LTA) Family
