Do you love to travel? If you do I’m sure you will want to go with us to beautiful Vermont in September! We’ll be seeing the Shelburne Museum, a dinner cruise on beautiful Lake Champlain, a visit to a granite museum, visit Montpelier, the state capital, a maple farm, Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory and the Von Trapp Family Lodge telling about the Von Trapp family from the Sound of Music! Scottsville Seniors- I want everyone to know that our bus trip to Vermont is full. We would still like to take a second bus so if you have any friends or family wanting to see beautiful Vermont, tell them about us. If we get about 15 more we will take two buses but until then anyone signing up now will go on a waiting list. Please message me if you have questions.

Hey travelers! Just wanted to let you know that I have received notice from Diamond Tours that they have changed Day 8 itinerary. We will no longer be going to the Made in America Store, we will go to Vidler’s 5&10 Variety Store in East Aurora NY. We’ll be able to look at an authentic “Dime” store of yesteryear. This will be Day 8 of our route back to Kentucky. Let me know if you have questions!

Do you like ice cream! We’ll be touring Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory in Waterbury Vermont! Ben and Jerrys opened in 1978 in a gas station in Burlington Vermont and now makes 350,000 pints a day. They have seasonal flavors and standard flavors! We’ll get to tour the factory, gift shop, flavor graveyard, and get a free sample! Right now we have 55 on the bus when deposits are paid. Diamond Tours are readying a second bus if we can get more interest. It will be a good time, so come and join us!

Did you know while we’re in Stowe Vermont that we’ll be stopping and touring the Trapp Family Lodge? The Trapp family Singers, Retired Austrian Naval Commander Georg and his wife Maria and children, left Austria and N**i occupied Europe in 1942 and came to Vermont. The classic movie, The Sound of Music, is based on the Von Trapp family, and was made 60 years ago. So if you like scenic beauty, history and a little movie trivia, this part of the tour is for you.
