A recent job I did assisting an owner on Hanover beach to cleanup her lot from the recent flooding. I used the skidsteer loader to scrape a few inches of mud from the lot, fill in some low spots and then grade and level, and finally added some fresh #9 crushed limestone.

As we move into Spring, please remember that I also deliver fill dirt, screened topsoil (when weather conditions permit), pea gravel, sand, and bulk mulch.

A Sunday morning grading and reshaping to fix some ruts in a driveway after the substantial rain received to permit the folks to safely exit and enter their driveway without damaging their vehicle or getting stuck. The drive will need some fresh gravel when it dries out, but I was able to salvage some of the washed out gravel and what was still available to make the driveway safe to travel.

I appreciate all of our loyal repeat customers, referrals to their friends and families, and new customers. February turned out to be one of the busiest months that I’ve had since starting the business 3 years ago. Everyone was tired of muddy, sloppy driveways from the snow and rain that the area has received.

This is another before and after set of pictures from a driveway and parking area that I recently completed spreading the gravel with the truck and then a few minutes work with a rake to level out some high spots. The driveway on the left of the first picture hadn’t been graveled in several years. The pictures show the before and after for each section of the driveway and parking area.

Does your driveway need refreshed? Many driveways are quite sloppy from the recent rains and melting snow. I deliver 8 ton loads of gravel with my single axle dump truck.

Apologies for the poor quality of the pictures, I’ve apparently scuffed or cracked the camera lense on my phone. The customer asked that I track spread this lightly used farm lane. #53 gravel (1 inch and smaller stone mixed with lime dust) was spread in the tracks of the lane while not covering the center section of the lane. Less gravel is needed with this method of spreading. Some before and after pictures from each end of the driveway (view top to bottom, not left to right).

I did a small driveway refurbishment today using our hydro-bucket. The hydro-bucket is a version of a power rake with a rotating bit on the bottom side of the bucket. The customer had a good base of gravel that had quite a bit of grass/weeds growing up through the gravel. The hydro-bucket churns the gravel and uproots and buries the grass/weeds.

The customer provided a couple of before and during pictures from their Ring Security system, showing the grass cover throughout the driveway. The later 2 pictures are the finished project. The benefit to the customer was that 3-4 passes with the hydro-bucket redressed the driveway with no expense of new gravel being applied.

It’s been awhile since I posted a before and after review. I freshened up this driveway that hadn’t been graveled for many years. A couple hours work with a pole saw and chainsaw to begin the job and remove several low hanging limbs to make clearance for the truck. Then a fresh layer of #9 crushed limestone was applied in all sections of the drive. And finally, an hour+ work with the skidsteer to grade gravel into areas that the truck couldnt access, and a few minutes with a rake in tight areas.

Anyone with a business page on FB get notifications like this? I’ve gotten it 2-3 times supposedly from FB meta team. It’s to my business page for my dump truck. I was in the process of submitting the appeal after filling in my email and phone number, it asked for my password to submit the report. That’s when I got extra suspicious. My LLC is obviously registered with the state. I just assumed it’s some scammers.

Some of our recent work to highlight. We’ve hauled many loads of gravel, several loads of topsoil, and it’s definitely the season for people installing above ground swimming pools as we’ve hauled multiple loads of lime and sand , and also helped place the sand and level it with our Bobcat to help install a pool pad. Lesson learned, don’t take a 78 inch wide bucket for the Bobcat to a job with a gate opening of 80 inches. But we were able to get the job finished.

A change of pace for us recently is highlighted in the before and after pictures below. The customer had sold her above ground pool and wanted the area cleaned up, graded and reseeded to grass. After helping to remove the remaining deck boards, we removed 2 loads of sand and pea gravel, and then hauled in 2 loads of screened topsoil. In addition to the pool area, we added topsoil to a couple of other areas in the yard that needed reshaping. All areas were fertilized and seeded, firmed with a roller and strawed/mulched.
