Within two hours of their first call, our team had booked the flights and sent one of our Registered Nurses to bring their loved one home to Chicagoland from Florida.

Our nurse stayed by his side from his bedside in Florida to his new care home here in Illinois. He arrived safely that same evening.

1️⃣ You call, we confirm the details - time, address, mobility needs, round trip or one-way.
2️⃣ Your Transportation Specialist arrives a few minutes early and helps you from your door.
3️⃣ Safe, comfortable ride - wheelchair secured properly or a steadying hand if you're ambulatory.
4️⃣ We walk you in, door-through-door, and we're there for the ride back too.

MYTH: "You have to be in a wheelchair to use medical transport."

Not true - and this one keeps a lot of people from getting help they qualify for. 🚫♿

NEMT is for anyone who can't easily or safely drive themselves to medical care. That includes people who are fully ambulatory but shouldn't drive after a procedure, folks who get dizzy or fatigued, people without a car, and those whose family just can't always be there.

Wheelchair, walker, or walking on your own - if getting to care is hard, we can help.

How we secure a wheelchair - step by step.

Ever wonder what actually happens to keep a wheelchair safe in transit? Here's our process, no shortcuts. ♿

1️⃣ The chair rolls up the REAR-ENTRY ramp and is positioned facing forward.
2️⃣ We lock it down with a four-point securement system - straps at all four points, tightened and checked.
3️⃣ A separate lap-and-shoulder belt secures the passenger, not just the chair.

This is the difference between ""a ride"" and a safe ride. It's also why we train Transportation Specialists instead of hiring drivers.

Here's something a lot of seniors don't realize: many Medicare Advantage plans now include a set number of one-way trips to medical appointments as a supplemental benefit. 🚐

That benefit often goes completely unused - simply because no one ever explained it.

This Fourth of July weekend, we keep thinking about what independence really means. 🇺🇸

For a lot of the people we serve, independence is simple but huge: the freedom to keep every appointment, stay on top of their health, and stay connected to the people they love - no matter their mobility.

Summer heat is hardest on the people we serve.

Chicago summers don't play around - and heat is genuinely dangerous for seniors, dialysis patients, and anyone medically fragile. ☀️

That's why we don't make anyone wait at the curb. We pre-cool every vehicle before pickup, time the arrival so no one stands out in the sun, and keep the cabin steady from door to door.

Comfort isn't an extra around here. It's part of a safe ride.
