On paper, my love language is acts of service. In the travel world, that looks a lot like having your airport transfer arranged, your hotel expecting your arrival, and the little details taken care of before you even realize there’s something to think about.

Because after a long day of traveling, the last thing you want to do is navigate a taxi line, compare rideshare prices, or figure out how you’re going to get to your hotel in a city you’ve never visited.

I’d much rather you grab your luggage, find your driver, and get straight to enjoying your trip.

It is one of my favorite things about being a travel advisor, taking care of the details that make the entire experience feel a little more effortless.

Some people send flowers, I sent confirmation numbers. Romantic, if you ask me.

Travel Spotlight: 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙖 🇮🇩

With more than 17,000 islands, Indonesia is one of those destinations were no two itineraries have to look anything alike, and that’s part of what makes it so incredible.

From the ancient temples of central Java and dramatic volcanic landscapes of Mount Bromo, to the untouched
coastlines of Sumba, the turquoise water surrounding Komodo National Park, and some of the most extraordinary diving in the world, Indonesia offers an incredible mix of adventure, culture, natural beauty, and luxury.

Spend your mornings exploring centuries old temples, your afternoons overlooking the ocean from a private villa, or several days sailing between remote islands aboard a traditional phinisi yacht. There are so many ways to experience this part of the world, and each one offers something completely different.

A little look at what’s currently sitting on my planning desk, and no two trips look quite the same.

A few are still taking shape, some are deep in the details, and others are ready to send their travelers on their way. This is one of my favorite parts of what I get to do, getting to work on completely different trips, for completely different reasons, all at the same time.

You said yes! Now comes the party no one really talks about.

Where are your guest staying? How do you know if the group rate is actually a good one? What happens if the room block does not fill? Who is reading the contract, watching the cut-off dates, negotiating the terms and answering the inevitable “Can I stay an extra night?” texts?

A wedding room block can make this weekend significantly easier for your guests, but there is more to it than calling a hotel and asking them to hold a few rooms. The rate matters, but so do the cancellation terms, attrition, fees, concessions, flexibility, and all of the little details that determine whether the block actually works for your wedding.

That is where I come in. I can source and compare hotel options, review and negotiate the contract, manage the block and help keep the hotel questions off your plate so you can focus on planning the part everyone is actually coming to celebrate.

This corporate group is heading just outside of Phoenix for a two-day conference, bringing attendees together for a focused mix of education, connection, and time with the team.

The event includes overnight accommodations, dedicated meeting space, group meals, and an evening dinner, with the logistics built around making the experience as easy as possible for attendees from arrival through departure. Behind the scenes, that means coordinating the hotel, room block, meeting space, food and beverage, AV, attendee details and all of the little pieces that have to come together before anyone ever walks into the room.

A short event on paper, but a lot happening behind the scenes to make two days feel seamless.

That means you can browse available hotels, compare rates and eligible preferred partner perks, add your hotel loyalty number when applicable and make the reservation on your own time without needing to wait for me to send options over.

And because the reservation is still connected to PUNT Travel, I’m still here if you have questions, special requests or need help with anything that comes up along the way.

This is perfect for wedding weekends, quick getaways, work trips, tournaments, pre-or post cruise stays, visiting family, or those trips where you already know exactly where you want to stay.

Q1 may still feel far away, but January and February are already high-demand months for meetings, events, and warm-weather destinations.

The larger the group and the more specific. The wish list, the more important that lead time becomes. Starting early means you’re choosing from better options instead of working around what’s left.

Early planning isn’t only about availability. It can also give your company more leverage.

𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙜𝙖𝙡 + 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙘𝙤

This trip is such a good reminder that the “perfect” itinerary is not about following someone else’s idea of how you should travel, it is about building a trip around how you actually like to experience a destination.

For this couple that means movement. New cities, new scenery, new food, new energy, and not too much time spent sitting still.

Their trip takes them to Porto to Lisbon, onto Marrakesh, out to the agave desert, and then back to Lisbon for one final stretch before heading home.

It is a faster pace than I would recommend for every traveler, but for them, it is exactly right.

There are private transfers, beautiful stays, time built in to explore on their own, a private cooking class in Porto, a sunrise, air, balloon, ride outside Marrakech, souks and city wandering, a camel ride through the desert, pool time at their desert camp, and plenty of room for the spontaneous moments in between.

One of the things I hear most often is, “I didn’t want to waste your time,” usually right after someone tells me they booked a hotel on their own for a wedding, work trip, weekend getaway, concert, or vacation they had already planned.

But you are not wasting my time.

A lot of travelers assume they should only contact a travel advisor when they need an entire itinerary built from the ground up. They think flights, transfers, tours, dining reservations, etc. That is one way I help, but it is not the only way…

Sometimes you already know exactly where you’re going. You may already have the plane tickets, the wedding invitation, the event schedule, or the entire trip mapped out and you just now need the room.

That is where my hotel-only booking service comes in.

Amex can be a fantastic tool. Truly, I love a strong travel card, and there is real value in points, lounge access, purchase protections, credits, and the perks that come with using it well.

But let’s be honest for a second: having a premium card and knowing how to travel well are not the same thing.

A lot of travelers treat booking through Amex like it is the final level. They click reserve, see a few benefits attached, and assume they have cracked the code. Meanwhile, they may have chosen the wrong hotel for the trip, booked the weakest room category, picked a location that adds friction to every day, or missed a stronger option entirely.

Most people do not need help making a reservation. They need help know what to reserve, why one option is better than another, and which details actually matter once you arrive.

Because the truth is, two hotels can have the same star rating, similar photos, and identical-looking perks, yet deliver completely different experiences. One feels polished but soulless. One has tiny rooms and constant elevator noise. One is beautiful online but tired in person. One quietly becomes your favorite trip of the year.

That is where I come in.
