🇺🇸 Memorial Day is a day to recognize and honor the military personnel who have dedicated their lives to defending our country.

On a carriage tour through Savannah’s historic district, you will witness and learn about many, many fallen heroes and in certain cases, their horses.

Casimir Pulaski is known as ‘The Father of The American Cavalry’ for his brilliant horsemanship in battle. Monuments across the United States often depict him riding a calm, noble steed to represent his quiet manner and proficiency.

Unfortunately he and his horse both lost their lives (alongside nearly 1,000 other soldiers) while attempting to rally forces during the Siege of Savannah in 1779. He and his horse are depicted on Savannah’s monument as falling; meeting a tragic end, but ever united.

We get it, General Pulaski, we’d do anything for our horses too. ♥️

If you’d like to spend a little bit of your Memorial Day honoring our fallen soldiers by learning their stories, join us for a historic carriage tour.
We hope to see you soon!

BIG NEWS! 🎉
Things are finally starting to change (dare we say, look up?) for Savannah’s horse carriage industry. Our local news station, The Savannah Morning News has included and summarized some of our most exciting updates in the following article:

https://www.savannahnow.com/story/news/local/2026/05/24/savannah-horse-carriage-operators-make-stand-against-regulations/90217921007/

Long story short, Georgia’s state-level legislature has officially stepped in to prevent city-level restrictions from being placed on the carriage industry. This has been influenced by law suits and restraining orders filed since City Council’s decision was made last summer, as well as supportive action on the part of a number of powerful local allies.
There are still a few legal battles to address; the fight is not won, but it’s really getting good now. 😉

Savannah's horse carriage operators are challenging the city's temperature regulations, claiming a new state law preempts the ordinance.

Not ONE!
That’s a pretty impressive record, if you ask us.

That being said, we are starting to adjust our schedules to keep everybody comfy on these warmer days. If you’re adjusting your schedule too, consider taking a night tour with us!
