🔥 Heat Advisory: Stay Safe at the Bus Stop Today 🚌☀️

With temperatures expected to soar today, we’re thinking of all our riders waiting at bus stops. Your safety and comfort matter—please take a few simple steps to stay cool while you travel:

✅ Seek shade whenever possible (trees, shelters, buildings)
✅ Stay hydrated—bring a bottle of water
✅ Use cooling items like a small fan, damp cloth, or umbrella
✅ Wear light-colored, breathable clothing
✅ If possible, check real-time bus tracking to minimize wait time

Let’s look out for one another—if you see someone struggling in the heat, lend a hand or alert help.

We wrapped up an energizing Bike to Work Day at Color Burst this morning! 🌅 Riders beat the early alarm, braved a light chill and gentle winds, and rolled through on their way to work—stopping by the RTA booth, the Howard County Office of Transportation, and all the amazing partner organizations along the way. 🚴‍♀️
It was great connecting with everyone—handing out free bike reflectors, sharing transit tips, and highlighting how easy it is to combine biking with RTA service. 🚌💚 Remember: every RTA bus has a bike rack, so you can ride, relax, and go further across Central Maryland.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by—we loved being part of your commute today! 👋
