We are a marine canvas company that makes premium custom canvas products for high end yachts - boat covers, replacement vinyl windows, t-tops, etc. Our products are all custom-made and need to be precise, accurate and well made. We are looking for an experienced seamstress/ sewer but are willing to train a person with a great attitude, a desire to learn and who has the right skillsets (see below).
We are looking for full-time help for our fast-growing business. We create custom patterns on the boats, lay them out, cut fabric and sew them in our air-conditioned office by SRQ. The ideal candidate would have the following skillsets:
• Reliable and dedicated – We strive to treat our employees with respect and consideration. In return, we look for candidates who are prefer long term, stable employment, who arrive on time and work meticulously on our projects.
• Attention to details – We work with high-caliber clients who own large and expensive yachts. They expect the best and pay attention to details. Any candidate must be fastidious and detail oriented.
• Creative – We enjoy doing what we do; it gives us a chance to create something out of nothing and end up with a product we can take pride in. We’d like candidates who need the fulfillment of working with their mind and their hands to create outstanding products.
On any given day, a candidate may be in front of a sewing machine, on a table cutting fabric, or maybe even on a boat helping to take measurements and make patterns.
