‼️Florida just drew a line in the sand when it comes to protecting children.
In a bold move that is shaking the nation, Ron DeSantis signed a law allowing the death penalty for predators convicted of sexually abusing children under the age of 12 — directly challenging a controversial 2008 Supreme Court ruling that limited capital punishment in such cases.
Supporters say the law sends a powerful message: the safety and innocence of children must come before the comfort or protection of violent predators. Critics argue the law could encourage offenders to silence victims, but many believe that reasoning has too often been used as an excuse to shield the worst criminals from facing the fullest consequences for horrific crimes.
Florida’s leadership is taking an unapologetic stand that protecting innocent children is one of the highest moral responsibilities of government.
