Meet Ted, one of Sky Railway’s most... unique team members. Read to the end to weigh in on his delicious New Mexico project!

Originally from Roswell, New Mexico, Ted enjoys stargazing, playing pickleball with friends, and taking his dog, Alf, for walks when he's not busy studying intergalactic transportation systems.

One of Ted’s favorite things about Santa Fe is that, despite being nearly 400 years old himself, he’s still considered fairly young around here.

When visitors ask what else they should do while in town, Ted recommends hiking one of Santa Fe’s many trails, trying the local cuisine, and ordering a swirl at Tomasita’s - one of Santa Fe’s classic drinks that he thinks totally lives up to the hype!

Ted says he was inspired to join Sky Railway because of its welcoming culture. “They accepted me for who I am,” he explains, “which is refreshing when you've spent most of your life answering questions about crop circles.”

His favorite part of working at Sky Railway has been helping develop our new Close Encounter experience. One of his most memorable moments on the train came when a passenger told him he looked like Robert Downey Jr.. Ted remains flattered, though he insists the resemblance is purely coincidental.

According to Ted, what sets Sky Railway apart is the incredible attention to detail and the one-of-a-kind experiences you won't find on most shortline railroads. He’s also particularly proud of the team's groundbreaking work converting the locomotives to warp drive technology, which bends space and time to get better mileage with rising fuel prices.

Ted believes Sky Railway has become an important part of the Santa Fe community by creating yet another reason for visitors to experience this remarkable city.

One thing he wants everyone to know: Local residents receive 10% off all Sky Railway experiences.

Fun Fact: Ted has a spreadsheet of Santa Fe's best breakfast burritos and takes the rankings very seriously. 👽✨🚂
