Grand Velas has a baby concierge, great pools, a lovely beach and fantastic spa. They even have great food and restaurants! They have it ALL.. except a water park. Until now!!!

Who should choose Art of Animation in Disney World?

Well, let me tell you! AoA is considered a “Value” resort and is the newest resort on property in that tier. It is more affordable than many other resorts on property but does NOT lack on amenities. Its access to the skyliner is a huge draw to the property but, of course, Disney has brought the magic to this property too. It is a complete immersion into some of the most loved Disney films EVER and is the perfect home base for large families with younger kids!

Mine was at 📍 Brass Boer in Curacao just a few weeks ago. It was SUCH a good iced espresso. Like Starbucks brown sugar shaken espresso but 100x better 🤣

Steal my itinerary! We had the best time celebrating Leif’s first birthday in Blue Bay. This is probably where I would stay if we ever went back to Curacao! It was PHENOMENAL!

One of my most recent favorite tradition to do on a family trip is to get a mini family photo session done. I’m sure we all know what it’s like to ‘hope’ you got a good shot but not really being sure and I always try to be intentional about how much time I’m spending on my phone during these trips. Being a travel agent is a double edged sword because vacation can quickly turn to business likeeee really easily.

Luckily, there are local photographers (like Curaçao Photographer | Katinka Pauw, who took these and was soo great to work with) who are so great to work with to make sure we capture these moments!!!

These were taken in Kura Hulanda village, which is currently the most adorable shopping area in Otrobanda, Willemstad but has a deep history related to the Dutch slave trade. There is a museum here that I wish we could’ve spent more time at but this was the evening and our kids were sun-tired 🥲

They were also hosting a music festival while we were there (Afro 23 and J Balvin were there!) so we had some good background noise to our photoshoot.

Anyways, enjoy 🥹 I will love looking back on these pics in my memories each year!!

One of our favorite days of our trip! The dolphin experience was SO FUN especially for my 4 year old. Quick Key Rental made exploring Curaçao with our little family SO easy. They delivered the car right to our resort, included car seats for both kids, and were quick to respond on WhatsApp whenever we needed them.

What really stood out was the personal service. They checked in on us throughout the trip and even made our son feel extra special for his birthday. 🥹

Small, family-owned businesses like this are exactly why I love sharing travel recommendations with you guys.
