📢 METRO is making major investments in Bus Routes 1 and 2 – and we want your input!

The Rapid Corridors Improvements Project will transform bus travel for people who commute between the cities of Watsonville and Santa Cruz. The project will improve bus stop amenities, reduce travel time and make the bus safer and easier to use. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

Congratulations to Santa Cruz METRO CEO Corey Aldridge and Chief Planning and Development Officer John Urgo on their appointments to statewide transit leadership roles.

Corey has been appointed to the California Transit Association’s new Transit Funding Task Force, where he will help guide discussions on long-term funding solutions for public transportation across California.

John has been selected to serve on the California Transit Advisory Committee, where he will provide strategic input on key Caltrans transit plans and policies.

We are proud to have Corey and John representing METRO and Santa Cruz County in these important statewide conversations.

Corey fue nombrado integrante del nuevo Grupo de Trabajo sobre Financiamiento del Transporte Público de la Asociación de Transporte de California, donde contribuirá a orientar las conversaciones sobre soluciones de financiamiento a largo plazo para el transporte público en todo el estado.

🍓 Heading to the Watsonville Strawberry Festival? Let METRO get you there!

Skip the parking and ride with us! FREE bus service will run every 30 minutes between Westridge Business Park, located at 500 Westridge Dr. Watsonville, CA 95076, and the Strawberry Festival all weekend long.

🚌 Saturday, August 1
• First bus departs Westridge: 10:30 AM
• Last bus leaves the Festival: 8:30 PM

🚌 Sunday, August 2
• First bus departs Westridge: 10:30 AM
• Last bus leaves the Festival: 7:30 PM
