Pasha’s Irving, TX Employee Community Action Team was proud to partner once again with the The TEXAS YES Project’s Box of Dreams program to help local students start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.

Each year, TEXAS YES provides free school supply kits to students at elementary schools across Texas, helping make that first day of school a little brighter. 🌟 We’re grateful to our Irving team for lending a hand and supporting students and families in their community.

Some very tall pieces of a $555 million project to expand Honolulu ocean cargo terminal operations arrived earlier this week after a long and slow sea voyage from Long Beach, Calif.

This morning, Honolulu Harbor witnessed the historic arrival of Pasha Hawaii's three all-electric Noell ship-to-shore (STS) container cranes, that safely arrived following a three-week Pacific voyage from the Port of Long Beach. Shipped fully upright and intact on an open barge, the cranes traveled nearly 2,600 miles across open ocean in their operational configuration.

Once discharged, the cranes will be installed at Kapalama Container Terminal (KCT) as part of phase two of a $555 million public-private partnership between the State Department of Transportation (DOT) Harbors Division, The Pasha Group and Hawaii Stevedores, Inc. When complete, KCT will serve as the new operational hub and primary facility for Hawaii Stevedores, Inc., a subsidiary of The Pasha Group and sister company to Pasha Hawaii.

Pasha's San Francisco Bay Area Employee Community Action Team was back at Forget Me Not Farm for another rewarding day of volunteering. 💙🐐🌱

Our team rolled up their sleeves to help wherever needed, from cleaning animal stalls and tackling yard work to harvesting fresh vegetables for the farm. Along the way, we enjoyed meeting the animals, making fresh lemonade, and assembling bags of food for resource families throughout the community.

MV Marjorie C Voyage 293E was one our crew won't soon forget. We had the honor of welcoming record-breaking solo rower Kelsey Pfendler aboard.

Kelsey joined us in Honolulu and sailed with our crew all the way to the Port of Long Beach. For a rower who crossed the Pacific Ocean on her own power, this voyage offered something rare: the chance to look out over that same ocean and truly grasp the scale of what she accomplished. Mahalo, Kelsey, it was a pleasure having you aboard. Your spirit of determination continues to inspire everyone you meet.

Hawaii-Bound Cranes Mark a Major Milestone for KCT:
Three Noell ship-to-shore cranes have been successfully loaded onto a barge at the Port of Los Angeles to begin their voyage to the state-of-the-art Kapalama Container Terminal (KCT), currently under construction in Honolulu, Hawaii. The arrival and installation of the cranes is part of phase two of this $555 million project, with phase two on track to finish this year.

Harbor Industrial Services Corp., the International Longshore Warehouse Union (ILWU), Foss Maritime Company, and our Pasha Hawaii and Hawaii Stevedores, Inc. (HSI) teams combined their expertise, coordination, and careful planning to complete this complex transfer safely and successfully. Pasha Hawaii Advisory Board member Corbett Kalama was also on hand to conduct a traditional Hawaiian blessing before sending the cranes on their voyage to Honolulu.

When completed, KCT will enhance the efficiency, safety, reliability, and resilience of cargo operations in Hawaii while expanding capacity and supporting clea@ner, more advanced port technologies. This milestone brings us another important step closer to delivering a modern terminal built to serve Hawaii for generations.

Honolulu Harbor Pier 1 was buzzing with excitement as our team members welcomed Kelsey Pfendler, who delivered her boat, "Lily" for shipment back to California aboard Pasha Hawaii's MV Jean Anne. Pasha Hawaii partnered with Kelsey to cover the cost to transport her trailer from California to Honolulu, and will sponsor the ocean transport of her trailer and boat back to California.

Pasha Hawaii President and CEO George Pasha, IV and our team were on hand to welcome and congratulate Kelsey, who rowed over 2,400 miles from Monterey to Honolulu in just 43 days, shattering the women's record of 86 days and beating the men's record of 52 days.

"It was such an honor and privilege to meet and congratulate Kelsey in person," said George Pasha, IV. "She is an inspiration to all of us across the globe who have cheered her on, proving that nothing is impossible. Pasha Hawaii is grateful to have the opportunity to support her on her history making journey."

Added Kelsey, "I am so grateful for the generous support from the very beginning. Pasha Hawaii was a huge piece of me getting to the starting line. Thank you!"

The $555M Kapalama Container Project in Honolulu is nearing completion of Phase 2, marking a major milestone for Hawaii's maritime infrastructure and supply chain.

Once fully completed, The Pasha Group and Hawaii Stevedores will serve as the key operators of this 84-acre, modernized facility.

Designed to improve cargo capacity, reduce highway congestion, and incorporate green technology, this terminal represents one of the State's most significant public/private harbor infrastructure projects. Read the full project update on Pacific Business News.

The project has been underway since 2021 and will span 84 acres when complete. New gantry cranes arrive in two months.

Over 90% of all goods arriving in Hawaii come by ship, yet the critical economic role of our commercial harbors often goes unnoticed.

To bridge this gap, the Hawaii Harbors Users Group (HHUG), representing major maritime leaders like Pasha Hawaii, Matson and Young Brothers has launched "Supply Chain Hawaii," a public education initiative. From consumer awareness to fostering the next generation of maritime workforce talent in public schools, this campaign is a major step toward building a more resilient island economy.
