☀️ Pasha’s San Francisco Bay Area Employee Community Action Team was proud to support Marin Foster Care Association’s annual Picnic in the Park.

We enjoyed being part of this fun afternoon, bringing together kids, resource families, social workers, and community partners for food, games, and plenty of smiles. Events like this help create connection, support, and a sense of belonging for children and families.

Thank you to Marin Foster Care Association for the important work you do every day to support youth in foster care throughout our community. 💙

🌿 Pasha’s San Francisco Bay Area Employee Community Action Team joined together for a scenic volunteer day at Slide Ranch, supporting one of the Bay Area’s most unique coastal education and environmental programs.

Our team helped with projects across the ranch, supporting Slide Ranch’s mission of connecting youth and people of all ages with nature, farming, and environmental stewardship through hands-on learning experiences along the Marin coastline. 🌊🐐

Early Sunday morning, 21 volunteers with Pasha’s Irving, TX Employee Community Action Team, friends, and family members gathered at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, alongside hundreds of veterans, civic organizations, and community volunteers, to honor the more than 6,000 heroes laid to rest at the cemetery. These men and women represent not only every service branch and nearly all conflicts of the United States but embody the very best of what it means to call oneself 'an American.'

Following the playing of Taps at 9am, these volunteers somberly visited each headstone, placing flags and speaking each veteran’s name aloud to keep their memory alive. This act of quiet service and reverence reflects the spirit of Memorial Day and our shared commitment to remembering those who gave everything for our nation.

As General John J. Pershing once said, “Time will not dim the glory of their deeds.” Thank you to our volunteers – it remains an honor to support our fallen servicemembers in partnership with Flags for the Fallen.

Pasha’s Reno Employee Community Action Team joined Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful for the Great Community Clean Up, one of the largest community cleanup events in the Reno/Sparks area. Our team was assigned to the Rosewood Nature Study Area, one of 26 sites included in the event where 788 volunteers removed over 273 tons of trash and 60 tons of green waste.

This initiative is a major preventative clean up that helps to prevent fires in the summer. The community's focus on illegal dump sites removes potential fire hazards and supports park and waterway restoration. Our site focused on removing invasive species in addition to clearing hazardous waste items to support the reopening of a beautiful Nature Study Area off Veterans Parkway.

Pasha Hawaii and Hawaii Stevedores’ Employee Community Action Team, Hui Hulilima (“Helping Hands”), joined alongside ILWU Local 142 Hawaii, bringing the largest team to the ‘Construction Hike for Hope’ Su***de Prevention Hike. This event brings the construction and maritime community together to raise awareness around mental health and su***de prevention.

The 4.8-mile hike took place along the ‘Aiea Loop Trail at Keaiwa Heiau State Recreation Area, with a 900-foot elevation gain. The trail runs along the ridge on the west side of Halawa Valley, offering views of Oahu’s southern coastline from Pearl Harbor and the Waiʻanae Range to Honolulu and Diamond Head. Much of the area was replanted by foresters in the 1920s and features native koa and ʻōhiʻa trees, along with remnants of a B-24 bomber that crashed in 1944.

Pasha’s Reno Employee Community Action Team showed up in a big way this April, hosting two meaningful volunteer events in one impactful day.

During their semi-annual blood drive, volunteers donated several pints of blood, including multiple Power Red donations that can help save several lives with each contribution. Over the years, these drives have added up to countless donations and real impact for those in need.🩸

Later that same day, the team spent an afternoon of fun (and sore backs!) pulling weeds for Note-Able Music Therapy Services, a nonprofit using music therapy to create lasting change for people of all abilities. Alongside volunteers from across the region, the group helped spruce up the grounds, with a little help from a local band, a taco truck, and a fresh vegetable stand with samples donated by Soulful Seeds. 🎶🌱
