PHILADELPHIA LONG WEEKEND WITH KIDS
We recently explored the Greater Philadelphia area and had such a fun time. Here is a day-by-day itinerary:
✈️ Day 1: We flew from the Bay Area to Philadelphia (via Salt Lake City). We arrived in the evening and took a ride-share to (to put us in close proximity to Diggerland for Day 2).
🏗 Day 2: Enjoyed a delicious breakfast at (delicious & kid-friendly) and then made our way to . We spent pretty much the entire day at the park. On our way home, we grabbed and then back to the hotel for swimming at their indoor pool.
🔔 Day 3: We grabbed breakfast at and then drove to in Pennsylvania. After, we visited with both indoor & outdoor fun for kids for all ages. We stayed at the chic (chose because it has a great pool & location). We then walked to the Independence Visitors Center, the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. After, we ventured out to a little Mexican spot called El Rey for dinner followed by ice cream at
🔭 Day 4: After breakfast at , we headed to (science museum) and then checked out of the hotel and headed to the airport via Regional Rail
Tips:
☀️ May was the perfect time to go - not too hot, not too cold (later spring/early fall would be optimal times to visit)
🧒 This trip was the PERFECT mix of fun (Digglerland, Children's Museum, Playground) and Learning (Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Science Museum).

🎟 Please Touch Museum is in the ACM Reciprical Network (partnering with for anyone in San Jose) and the Franklin Institue is part of ASTC (partners with ).
🚉 The Regional Rail is a fantastic way to get to/from the airport to the city center - there is a line called "Airport" so it is very easy to tell which line to get on and it sto
