Our board member Caroline Kohout took a VERY quick sail on the Boat Tram from Balboa Park to our San Francisco Railway Museum to kick off Heritage Weekend. Take 30 seconds to travel miles, full steam ahead!

About that brown box: it houses the accessibility ramp, which enabled Muni to board several wheelchairs, both manual and motorized, over the weekend. As built, the vintage streetcars weren't accessible, but Muni's creative engineers and maintenance found a way to let everyone share the voyage!

This is a friendly PSA for everyone coming to . Please don't forget to come join on both Saturday and Sunday. Both cars will be in operation both days. If the weather is good there will be a long line at Hyde and Beach (2 cars will help that though). If i may suggest though, there should be "quicker boarding opportunities" at Hyde and North Point.

Market Street Railway and Castro Art Walk are once again collaborating celebrate the connection between art and transit. For two days only, the San Francisco Railway Museum will be transforming into a pop-up gallery featuring art from the transit community!

Our opening event will take place from 4pm - 9pm on Friday, September 4th - stop by for a complementary glass of w**e!

If you want to participate in the art walk, ride the F-Line to the Castro for the remainder of the Art Walk locations, and keep an eye out for hidden transit art pieces along the way - there will be a scavenger hunt with prizes.

Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the wonderful transit art community - we’ll see you there!
