All aboard the Hyde Ride! Climb halfway to the stars on one of our fleet’s legacy vehicles: Big 19, Car 42, Car 53 (the Tony Bennett car) or the newly restored car 55. These double-ended cars that normally run on the California line make a special run on Hyde Street to take people through San Francisco’s most scenic areas. Volunteer docents from Market Street Railway will be on board to talk cable car and San Francisco history while you take in spectacular views and cruise by iconic destinations and local businesses. The SF Marathon returns this Sunday, July 26, with multiple street closures and numerous Muni service changes. Please allow for some extra travel time as even those routes which aren't rerouting are likely to experience minor delays in the area of the marathon course.

We are lowering speed limits on more school streets around San Francisco to help create safer journeys for children, families and everyone travelling to and from school. 🏫

Going forward, more streets near schools will be given a speed limit of 15 mph and the default speed limit for school zones in the city will drop from 25 mph to 20 mph. ⬇️

That's good news! Because reducing speed limits is a proven tool to improve safety on our streets. 👍

The new school speed limit program is the latest addition to the SFMTA's agency-wide effort to give more children and families safe, convenient and reliable options for getting to and from school. 🚸
