🌟 Going the Extra Mile Matters! 🌟

Since launching our Micro/Para commingle service on August 10, Div 24 Petaluma has been excited to help riders take advantage of the new app to book and manage their trips. Recently, Dispatcher Kenny Jefferson went above and beyond to assist a paratransit rider who was having trouble downloading and using the app.

Kenny took the time to meet with the rider in person, walk him through the setup process, and make sure he was confident booking rides on his own. The rider was incredibly grateful for the support and left happy and empowered.

Congratulations to Div 24 Petaluma Employee of the Month for July: Miles Pittman đź’«

Miles has been a bus operator with Div 24 since May 2012. He consistently arrives in the mornings with a positive attitude and is always ready to tackle the day ahead. Whenever we find ourselves in need of a driver to fill in, Miles steps up to help without hesitation.

He is well-liked by both his fellow operators and the passengers he serves in our community. In addition to his work as a bus driver, Miles also uses public transit himself; he takes the train to work, and for the extra 2 miles to the office, he rides his electric bike.

We’d like to take a moment to recognize another one of our outstanding drivers: Christina Vargas of Div 62 Hanford🌟👏

During an OnDemand trip, Christina was dropping off a 12-year-old child at the Boys & Girls Club. Instead of simply completing the drop-off and moving on, she took the extra step to ensure the child safely made it inside. When she noticed the doors were locked and the facility wouldn’t open for another three hours, she immediately acted.

Understanding the situation and the surrounding area, Christina brought the child back onto the bus and contacted dispatch. From there, she worked with the team to safely bring them back to our terminal while we contacted the child’s mother. Once we reached her, we ensured the child was safely transported back home.

This is a perfect example of going above and beyond—not just doing the job, but truly caring about the people we serve. Our client expressed how impressed they were with how the situation was handled, and the child’s mother was extremely grateful.

Christina, thank you for your professionalism, awareness, and compassion. You represent the very best of what we strive for every day. đź’«

Alberto has been a dedicated bus operator with MV since December 2008, consistently demonstrating outstanding commitment to his work and the community he serves. He shows up every day with a positive attitude, always ready to help and go the extra mile.
