The beautiful capital city of Juneau, AK is surrounded by steep mountains and the ocean. As a result, it is only accessible by sea or air.

Before heading off on an Alaskan cruise, we decided to spend a little time in Seattle, WA. We checked into the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center. Then hopped on the light rail located directly across the street from the hotel. This took us right into downtown Seattle. We took in the sights of the well known Pike Place Market. Stopped in for a bite at Half Shell and enjoyed halibut and Smokey salmon chowder. During this time of the year, it stays light out past 9:45pm.
