Kumeyaay Beach is now the official name of a formerly unnamed section of beach at Spanish Landing Park.

The permanent name recognizes the Kumeyaay people's historic relationship with San Diego Bay, honors their lasting connection to these lands and waters, and celebrates their important contributions to our region.

Located on the west side of Spanish Landing Park in the Harbor Island area, Kumeyaay Beach provides residents and visitors with direct access to the bay. The Port will also work with tribal representatives to develop signage that shares the beach's cultural and historical significance.
