Most French programs send students to Paris. Nothing wrong with that.

But there's a version of French your students never hear in a textbook. The one spoken in Martinique and Guadeloupe, where the language carries a whole other history. Césaire, Fanon, Glissant, and a Creole that lives alongside it.

Same language requirement. Same academic credit. A different conversation entirely when they come back.
