Never forget 🙏🙏

Sergeant Dominic Vaca was killed in the line of duty on May 31, 2021, when he was shot following a vehicle pursuit of a motorcycle in Yucca Valley. Sergeant Vaca was flown to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Dominic served his country in the United States Army before pursuing a career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie, and two daughters, Angie, and Makayla.

Please take a moment today to remember Sergeant Dominic Vaca, who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department extends our heartfelt condolences to our partners at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department after the tragic loss of a San Dimas Sheriff’s Deputy during the 2026 Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay.

We are thinking of his family, friends, and fellow deputies as they navigate this loss. His service and dedication will not be forgotten.

Our department stands with LASD and keeps his loved ones in our thoughts during this difficult time.

Don't miss your chance to see the FINAL FLIGHT at CHINO AIRPORT, CA of the Boeing P-26A Peashooter before it's packed away and shipped up north to Santa Maria at our future facility! The Peashooter will be flying in about a week and a half on March 7th at our next Hangar Talk event.
With it's unique hand-crank start and being the ONLY flying Peashooter in the world, it's not to be missed here in Southern California! The event is included with standard museum admission. Doors open at 9am with the flight demo around 12:15pm.

Two crewmembers, a Pilot and a Trooper/Paramedic have perished in the Arizona DPS Ranger 56 helicopter crash. Our hearts are with the family, friends and the entire DPS and Search and Rescue teams that worked alongside them.
