Located just 15 minutes north of downtown, San Antonio International Airport (SAT) offers competitive nonstop service to 47 destinations across 12 airlines, connecting San Antonio and the surrounding area to communities across the country and beyond. Recent and ongoing improvements include a three-gate Terminal A ground load facility (opened in March 2026), new dining, retail and other concessions in Terminals A and B—including local favorites that give travelers a taste of San Antonio—and continued airfield improvements. A whole new terminal is on the way. The $2.5 billion Terminal Development Program includes a new Terminal C with 18 domestic and international gates, expanded concessions and a new parking garage and Ground Transportation Center. The program also includes upgrades to Terminals A and B, adding modern amenities and infrastructure to increase capacity and improve the passenger experience. Together, these investments are transforming SAT into an airport that can better serve San Antonio and South Central Texas for decades to come.

This morning, SAT was pleased to welcome a team from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for a tour of Terminal C! ✈️ The visit comes as SAT’s TSA team was recently recognized by Travel Bulletin for having the shortest average TSA wait times. An exciting milestone that reflects the team’s commitment to keeping travelers moving! 👏

We're proud to announce that SAT has been named a 2026 recipient of the Lex Frieden Employment Awards, receiving the Martha Arbuckle Award for our team's efforts in driving meaningful change and advocacy for the disability community.

The award specifically recognizes our team's innovative approach to the Accessibility Focus Group we hosted to incorporate travelers with disabilities into the planning and design of the future Terminal C. Over the course of 10 months, this focus group identified barriers and developed more than 160 recommendations spanning physical design, customer service, technology, and airport operations.

With accessibility among our core operational pillars, we're extremely proud to earn this recognition for the important work our team is doing to remove barriers and help every traveler navigate SAT with greater ease, independence, and confidence.

Our team is proudly wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🩷

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime - and 1,048 women will be diagnosed TODAY.

Early detection is one of the most important ways to improve breast cancer outcomes. Let's continue to spread awareness, encourage regular screenings, and show our support for all those impacted by breast cancer.

Placing the final structural beam in Terminal C marks a huge project milestone and, of course, calls for celebration! We have many partners, city leaders, and our entire SAT team to thank for helping this dream take flight, so we hosted multiple events and a final beam topping-off ceremony to ensure everyone involved could commemorate this historic moment.

As part of the largest capital improvement effort in San Antonio's history, the new 18-gate Terminal C will significantly expand our airport’s size, increase nonstop air service, and connect our city to more international travel opportunities. Completion is planned for 2028 - save the date!

We’re immensely grateful to all the dreamers and visionaries who remain committed to helping us . The best is yet to come!
