Claire has watched the Super Simple video of Caitie & Tobee going to the dentist to get their teeth cleaned over and over for years. Having a visual to help prepare for an appt like this has really helped her. I know this type of appointment can be a nightmare for a lot families with Autistic kiddos. Just wanted to share what has worked and been successful to prepare her over the years!

What helps your kiddos prepare for appointments like this? Would love other suggestions!

This safety clip has been great for stopping Claire from crawling out of her seatbelt! Inexpensive and works like a charm!

Just call me the fun mom 😜 Ava had a sleepover and these girls were begging to go do a 5 min challenge at Target so we had some fun! They had 5 mins, $100 to grab what they wanted and also make sure to grab something for little brother too! They barely made it in time!

Claire was having a start to a meltdown because she was having a hard time processing what she really wanted and I tried the calling for “jessica” 🤣🤣 It stopped her in a tracks that’s for sure! It quickly picked back up. Claire knows that we get all done with behaviors and there are times we are stern just as I would be with my other children.

I saw Reneé Sellers | Autism Mom | Oklahoma do this and had to try with Claire! 😆 For sure thought she would have gone straight for the fridge first and laugh at me second! 🤣 But then again she thinks people hurting themselves is the funniest thing around!
