CVT Service Expansion Project (SEP)

For the past two years, Concho Valley Transit District has been proud to provide expanded transportation opportunities through our Service Expansion Project (SEP).
Through this project, CVT was able to introduce and evaluate additional services designed to better meet the transportation needs of residents throughout our rural service area.

We are pleased to announce that our Midday Run for surrounding rural counties will continue to be funded and will remain available.
Unfortunately, funding for Saturday rural service was not renewed. As a result, effective September 1, 2026, CVT will no longer offer Saturday transportation service for rural clients.
We understand the impact this change may have on passengers who have utilized Saturday service, and we appreciate everyone who participated in and supported the Service Expansion Project over the last two years.
CVT remains committed to pursuing funding opportunities and developing services that provide safe, reliable, and friendly transportation throughout the Concho Valley.

Thank you for riding with Concho Valley Transit District

NOTICE TO OUR VETERAN PASSENGERS

Concho Valley Transit District would like to inform our passengers that transportation services currently provided through Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) grant funding will end August 31, 2026.

Unfortunately, this grant funding was not renewed, and beginning September 1, 2026, CVT will no longer be able to provide transportation using the TVC grant as a funding source.

We understand how important reliable transportation is to the veterans and families who have utilized this program, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this change may cause.

We strongly encourage passengers currently using TVC-funded transportation to begin exploring alternative resources before the end of August. Assistance may be available through 2-1-1 Texas, the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), or other local and regional programs, depending on eligibility and transportation needs.

CVT staff will continue assisting passengers with information regarding other CVT transportation services for which they may qualify.

We are grateful to the Texas Veterans Commission for the funding that allowed CVT to provide these transportation services and, most importantly, we thank our veterans for their service.

TVC Grant Transportation Ends: August 31, 2026

Service Update – Urban Demand Response (5310 Funding)

Concho Valley Transit would like to inform our riders that funding through the Section 5310 Program for Urban Demand Response services is expected to be fully expended by mid-May.

This program has allowed us to provide expanded transportation access within our community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve so many of our residents through this funding.

What this means moving forward:

Once 5310 funds are exhausted, Urban Demand Response service will be limited to individuals who are ADA-certified and have approved authorization under Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines.

Riders who qualify under ADA will continue to receive service for the standard 2$ per trip.

If you are age 60 or over, the Area Agency on Aging may be able to help provide some financial assistance for transportation services. Please email [email protected] or call 325-944-9666 to submit a request.

Through our Texas Veterans (TVC) grant, transportation services are available for eligible veterans and their spouses. This can also serve as an alternative.

We understand this change may impact many of our riders, and we encourage anyone who believes they may qualify for ADA service or TVC to contact our office forassistance with the certification process.

For questions or to learn more about eligibility, please contact CVT at 325-947-8729 ext. 405.

Thank you for riding with CVT and allowing us to serve our community every day.
