Say hi to Lisa Roe 👋

Lisa uses the system about two times a week to travel from Silverton to Monmouth, allowing her to get to her worksites.

Occasionally, she rides the Cherriots Local system to get to Costco and other locations around town.

Lisa and her son appreciate having Wi-Fi on the bus and they also use the bike racks quite often as they bring their bikes.

Lisa wants people to know that the buses are clean and sanitary and that the drivers are friendly!

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Lisa!

For Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re honoring the Hispanic trailblazers who built, advocated for, and led public transportation across the nation.

From tens of thousands of Mexican traqueros who endured dangerous conditions and unequal pay to lay the groundwork of American rail, to leaders like Nuria Fernandez and Federico Peña transforming modern infrastructure, Hispanic heritage is deeply woven into the story of public transit.

Swipe through to explore Hispanic Heritage in Transit!
