😱 THE MISFIT TRAVELERS PRESENT: THE GREAT VIDEO DISASTER OF 2026! 💀🎬

Imagine the feeling of absolute DREAD when you're getting ready to edit your next adventure and suddenly discover...

ALL. YOUR. VIDEO. FILES. ARE. GONE. 😱

MONTHS of adventures, memories, and footage... GONE!

Cue the panic. The nausea. The cold sweats. The feeling that you might actually throw up! 🤢😭

But WAIT! We have a file recovery program! Surely it can save us... RIGHT?!

🎬 DAY ONE: A GLIMMER OF HOPE!

Fire up the recovery program. It's finding files! LOTS OF FILES! WOOHOO! 🎉

Except... there's a problem.

It's recovering our VIDEO FILES as JPG images!

WHAT?! NOOOOOO! 🤬

🎬 DAY TWO: THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES!

Okay, let's try this again. This time, we'll specifically tell the program to recover VIDEO files.

IT'S WORKING! It's finding videos!

Let it run overnight. Go to bed. Hope for the best. 🤞

🎬 DAY THREE: TOTAL DESPAIR!

Wake up excited to see our recovered adventures!

Except...

Every video has been converted into a .MOV file that WON'T OPEN OR PLAY!

MORE DREAD! MORE PANIC! TEARS ARE STARTING TO FORM! 😭

Are we seriously about to lose MONTHS of irreplaceable adventures?!

One last desperate search online for another recovery option...

Find a different program. Download it. Open it.

It recognizes our SD card.

It SEES OUR FILES!

And then... the most beautiful words we could possibly imagine...

OUR VIDEO FILES ARE STILL GOOD AND RECOVERABLE!!! 😭🎉🥳

IT'S WORKING! IT'S ACTUALLY RECOVERING OUR ADVENTURES!!!

The relief was UNREAL!

💾 THE LESSON LEARNED: BACK UP EVERYTHING!

After three days of technological terror, we've officially purchased an external hard drive and will be backing up ALL of our raw footage both on the drive AND in the cloud!

Because apparently, exploring haunted houses, creepy attractions, and spooky destinations wasn't terrifying enough...

WE HAD TO EXPERIENCE A REAL-LIFE DIGITAL HORROR STORY! 😂💀

And THAT, fellow Misfits, was one adventure we NEVER want to experience again!

Salem scared the Misfits SILLY! 😱👻

The Misfit Travelers are exploring Salem, Massachusetts, with a stay at the historic Hawthorne Hotel , monsters lurking inside the International Monster Museum and a trip through Witch Mansion that resulted in a LOT of “OH MY GOD!” and “WHAT THE HELL?!” 😂

Witches, monsters, haunted history and plenty of screams... sounds like a Misfit adventure!

The Misfit Travelers were invited behind the screams at A Petrified Forest for a special Media Day!

From makeup and costuming to meeting the directors, builders and creative team, The Misfits got a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what it takes to bring Central Florida's haunted forest to life.

They also got a sneak peek at portions of this year's scare trails, learned about Dark Road Riders: The Keeper's Offering... and then there was Psychosis. 👀

They didn't get to experience everything during Media Day, and that's exactly how it should be. There are still plenty of secrets, scares and nightmares waiting in the forest.

A HUGE thank you to A Petrified Forest for inviting The Misfit Travelers out for this special look behind the screams. They had an absolute blast and can't wait to come back and SCREAM!

The Misfit Travelers met Alex during Media Day at A Petrified Forest

She was VERY committed to her character.

Perhaps a little too committed. 😂

Alex is connected to Psychosis, a waiver-required scare experience where guests are sent down an 85-foot track into total darkness... where they may be touched and even separated from their group.

💔 We are absolutely heartbroken.

Tim Curry was one of those performers who didn't just play unforgettable characters. He made being strange, theatrical, outrageous and completely yourself feel like the coolest thing in the world.

And for us, there will ALWAYS be Frank-N-Furter. 🖤

We are completely obsessed with The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Tim's legendary performance has brought us more laughs, smiles, sing-alongs and wonderfully weird moments than we could ever count.

From Frank-N-Furter to Wadsworth, Pennywise, Darkness, Long John Silver and so many more, there truly was nobody else like Tim Curry.

The world just lost one of its greatest Misfits.

Rest in peace, Tim. Thank you for making the world a little stranger, a lot more fabulous, and infinitely more fun. 💖
