Christina Kirk met with Andy Fox for approval of the layout at the Salem Cemetery. Today we picked up the trim rock, laid cardboard, and mulched. This fall we will plant a small tree and add perennials.

I would love to see this but that weekend would s not good for me, plus driving to Louisville 😳. I don’t even like to drive in Paducah.

Today the garden club visited a beautiful property in the woods of Livingston Co. Our host JoNell Kyle and her brother Sydney Wilhite shared their love of the land and rocks. They sell rock for landscaping. The whole place was enchanting with beautiful views of open fields. They host a vast variety of birds along with other woodland creatures including deer, raccoons, and snakes. He displayed a beautiful copperhead skin stretched on a wood wall, he had killed a few days before.
They are the most interesting people who love the land.

We had a great garden club meeting today. Thanks Pamela Buijk for demonstrating floral arrangements using pumpkins. It was so interesting to see what items you can get just from the side of the road.
