BIG NEWS, SPOOKY PEOPLE! An exciting underground radar survey of Charter Street was taken this past Tuesday. As local historians and big fans of the preservation efforts being taken with this 17th century site, we are so thrilled about this! This will give insight into previously undocumented underground structures that may be present. WHOA.

Every evening on The Salem Night Tour, we stop to discuss the paranormal lore surrounding this stunning burial site. You can explore inside by day for free any time between 10am and 4:45pm and we highly recommend a stroll among the headstones before you join us after sunset…

There’s nothing like a sunset over Salem. ✨ Stay in town later; beat the heat, avoid the crowds, see the city truly sparkle.

We’re biased, because we are always lucky enough to be haunting Witch City after dark, but we think the historic districts on summer nights have a special kind of magic. Come explore with us on The Salem Night Tour any night of the week!

Oh, YUM. 🥕The Salem Farmers Market has been a community staple in town for many wonderful years. Every Thursday in the historic Derby Square, local bakeries, farmers, butchers, florists, and brewers sell their delicious wares to the public from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Catch it during peak season between June 11th and October 8th and follow Salem Farmers' Market for more info ~

According to their website, two of the vendors accept HIP and SNAP/EBT cards can get you market-specific coupons. How cool! To claim them, just check in at the official info table.

Our guide Sebastian takes you for a stroll past a site we don’t get to visit on The Salem Night Tour. This stunning First Period house is a hidden gem on Brown Street that you’ll want to see for yourself when you visit. It’s just around the corner from where we embark on our walking tour, so be sure to check it out on your way to your ghost tour with us!

John Ward was a Puritan leather worker who lived here in 17th century Salem with his family. He had a beautiful house constructed in 1684 just across from the jail where victims of the tragic witch hunt of 1692 would eventually be incarcerated. It was moved to 9 Brown Street in 1910 and that’s where you can find it today.

A poppet was discovered in its walls during the move. Lots of practicing Puritans wove folk beliefs and good luck charms like that into their lives. But when fear of witches was ignited and extremism took hold of the judicial system, neighbor turned on neighbor and all of a sudden these little trinkets that many homes had were used as evidence of pacts with the devil in court.

We dive deep into the hard hitting history about The Salem Witch Trials on our tour. And, of course, we explore the urban legends and ghost stories that seeped into our city’s folklore. So, if you’re looking for a spooky evening out and interested in the twists and turns of the most complex chapter in Massachusetts history, join us after dark…
