Picking up all your stuff and packing it into boxes is tough, stressful, and probably the least fun part of your move. By your move date you should be living out of boxes, which can lead to intense feelings of craziness. This is all very normal, you are almost there. Watch out for moving companies asking for deposits - We hear of a lot of people getting overcharged, or charged crazy fees for cancelling. Even in the last few years a local franchise mover in our area was bragging about how they usually make $10,000 per WEEK on average in just cancellation fees 🤯. They say here in this article they brought in $50,000 in cancellation fees in one weekend because of the Covid pandemic, and they go on to say it was mostly seniors.
You can do the math but making $50,000 in a WEEKEND just because of cancellation fees is just wrong. 🤬🤨
We would never charge people because they had to cancel their move, especially if they cancelled because they are sick.
To some companies all they see is $$$$$.

Our tip is to schedule your move 1-2 weeks ahead of time, and don’t be pressured to give your credit card number when you are just calling for an estimate. We don’t ask for a penny until you are satisfied with our service at the end of the move.

Last year we gave away over 33,000 boxes for free. It’s our way of giving back to the community and to help recycle!
Buying brand new boxes can cost you hundreds of dollars, and the ones you get from us are stronger than ones you can buy from supply stores.
Boxes are available while supplies last at our other family company Consignment House.
