✈️ Coming Soon: Aviation Business Opportunity at St. Augustine Airport (SGJ)

On Monday, September 28, the St. Augustine – St. Johns County Airport Authority will release a Request for Proposals to lease two hangars at 235 and 245 Hawkeye View Lane. Together they offer about 15,600 sq. ft. of hangar and office space, leased as a single package.

This is a chance for a commercial aeronautical business to grow at an airport with an air traffic control tower, an 8,001-ft runway, an ILS approach, and on-site U.S. Customs.

📅 RFP release: Monday, September 28

📍 Non-mandatory site visit: Thursday, October 8, 10:00 a.m., at the hangars

🐢✈️ Happy National Wildlife Day from St. Augustine Airport!

Our airport is home to more than just aircraft! From gopher tortoises and birds to alligators and other native Florida wildlife, we regularly share our airport environment with a variety of species.

Our Airport Operations team works year-round to monitor wildlife activity, reduce wildlife hazards, and help keep both aircraft and wildlife safe.

✈️ Keeping Our Airfield in Top Condition

Last week’s airfield closure was a productive one! In addition to the comprehensive FDOT pavement inspection, our team completed runway and airfield lighting maintenance while the airfield was closed.

Taking advantage of planned closures like this allows us to tackle multiple projects efficiently while continuing to prioritize safety, reliability, and the long-term condition of St. Augustine Airport.
