Back to what I was saying about Vietnam...I thought I was going to dislike Hanoi. Honestly, I was upset that I was spending my birthday in a city like Hanoi since we just finished traveling around Thailand. I hate crowded places, loud noises, city pollution. I LOVED Hanoi. Even when people were getting a little too close for comfort trying to get me to eat at their restaurant, it was quickly water under the bridge once I actually sat down and started eating. But just look at this woman’s face! She’s smiling, riding on a scooter with her little one on the back! Anyway. This is my favorite photo out of my street photography collection.

Vietnam was nothing and everything I expected it to be. If that makes sense.....I recall people referring to Vietnam as one of the most beautiful countries they have visited. I didn’t doubt them but I also couldn’t grasp it in comparison to places such as Thailand or Japan. Well after being there only a week, there was nothing to understand. You just felt it. There’s peace and tranquility and the people are so kind. The UNESCO world heritage sights were INCREDIBLE. Travel Vietnam, you won’t regret it.

This pandemic has been difficult for everyone and it’s extremely shocking how the US has been affected. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics have officially been postponed until next year. We are grieving many things and I can only hope that there is a light at the end of this dark tunnel. For now reminiscing on good times; last year in Tokyo for Hanami. Stay safe, stay healthy ❤️🌍xx
