Farmer Joes Dog'gone Hops and Stoned Fruit

Farmer Joes Dog'gone Hops and Stoned Fruit Farmer Joe strives to produce quality hops for local breweries. The plan is to grow the most quality hops, and provide outstanding cherry purees.

Farmer Joe's is a local agricultural service which has the goal of supplying quality ingredients to local breweries and hobbyists while expanding their interests in the industry. FJDHSF was started with small volume deliveries of Black Tart cherries to local home brewers each spring harvest at their most ripe state, ensuring high levels of sugar and packing a heavy punch of tart cherry flavor. Bla

ck Tart cherries are excellent for use in various styles of beer for enhancing flavor and alcohol content. They make excellent ciders when used with an apple or pear base. Black Tarts are also excellent in various beers such as Saisons, Sours, Porters, and a delicious Tart Cherry Wheat. We are currently exploring options to deliver even more cherries next year to various breweries and home brewers. The Black Tart crop is readily available, with hundreds of acres ready for harvest. Farmer Joe's can harvest as many pounds as needed for individual orders. While we grow our cherry distribution we are reinvesting in a ΒΌ acre hop farm with the goal of delivering in demand hops. We intend to supply 500-1000 pounds of hops starting off, with our test plot. The plan is to increase the acreage of hops planted to grow with anticipated demand.

Well the end of the season has arrived. We've used our new Hopster 5p to the maximum and it delivered for us. Approximately 5000lbs of triple perle from Hopping Raccoon ranch in Clarksburg successfully harvested.

End of the season and we're dead tired. Time for some recovery before the fall projects.

It's been a busy season, folks, and it's still only the beginning of the year. We've installed new irrigation tubing and drip lines, raised 150 poles for our new hopfield, and have one more major item in the works if all goes well.

I've been told hops are a niche market. I'd like to point out that California is home to about 1000 breweries, all who consume thousands of pounds of hops per year (for all-about 15k lbs roughly and not counting the big breweries). That's just us, in CA.

I've updated our website. I hope you all like it:
