SUPERVISOR/BURIAL VAULT TECHNICIAN
M/G Vaults has an opening for a full-time Supervisor/Burial Vault Technician. This position is a “working supervisor” position.
Supervisory Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Plans, supervises, schedules, and evaluates the work of assigned staff
• Identify issues, generate and evaluate alternate solutions and make sound recommendations.
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor.
• Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs
• Make improvements to product quality, production efficiency and safe work practices.
• Examine and inspect work progress and equipment
• Work in conjunction with General Manager and Office Manager to ensure job is complete to customer’s complete satisfaction.
• Provide daily instruction to ensure staff are prepared to complete the job.
• Ensure all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of assigned materials, equipment and other supplies are on hand to complete production activities.
• Order materials, equipment and supplies as needed.
• Train and supervise employees as needed.
Burial Vault Technician duties include:
• Loading and unloading burial vaults and equipment
• Delivering vault to the cemetery using a company vehicle
• Setting up the equipment and installing the vault into the open grave
• Preparing the graveside for the funeral service (setting tent/artificial grass / chairs / chair covers)
• Assisting funeral directors at the gravesite if needed
• Sealing the vault after the funeral service and lowering it into the grave (In some instances, our employees may help to place the dirt back into the grave.)
• Tearing down equipment, reloading the truck and returning to the warehouse
• Maintaining cleanliness of the truck and equipment
• Ability to learn manufacturing aspects including operating mixer, stripping products from forms, cleaning & oiling forms, applying bonding mixture and butyl tape seal and pouring concrete into forms.
• Get aged products from stock and prepare for next day’s orders.

Requirements
• 2-3 years supervisor or assistant supervisor experience (Preferred)
• Possess excellent customer service, communication, leadership and follow-up skills
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to read maps and understand directions
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs.
• A neat and clean appearance is required. You will be a representative from our company in daily contact with our employees and customers, ie., funeral directors, cemetery personnel and the general public.
• Must be flexible with working hours.
• Must be available on Saturdays.
• Be a team player
• Must be able to work in all outdoor elements.
