Lake Ouachita recently hosted its annual Mobility Impaired Deer Hunt (December 6–7)—a weekend centered on accessibility, community, and the belief that the outdoors should be open to everyone. Four hunters enjoyed great camaraderie, good food, and a successful hunt made possible through strong partnerships and overwhelming local support.

We want to take a moment to recognize Jon Munz, the Acting Supervisory Natural Resources Specialist and hunt coordinator for this event. Jon is a former Wake Zone captain, and we could not be prouder to see him continuing to lead and serve the community in such a meaningful way.

Wake Zone was honored to be a proud sponsor of this event, alongside many incredible local businesses, all working together to support accessible outdoor recreation.

Jon summed it up perfectly:
