April showers bring May flowers—and another monthly charity update! 🌻💐

Our charity of the month for May is Night Out For You, a 100% donation-based and volunteer run organization that creates customized 'Experiences' for adults undergoing cancer treatment in the Capital Region. These 'Experiences' are meant to help patients remember who they are outside of their diagnosis by "Taking a few hours off from cancer" and spending quality time with their loved ones.

Night Out For You was founded by Kate Hockford in 2016 who, while running the organization, courageously battled stage 4 metastatic breast cancer before her passing in February 2025. Night Out For You continues to exist in her honor to carry on Kate's vision and passion for helping others in need. 💜

It's the end of the month so you know what that means...charity update!

April was a big month: our charity of the month was Capital Cup for Kids—a hockey tournament fundraiser supporting local children's charities like the Ronald McDonald House, Double H Ranch, Make-A-Wish, Unity House, and many more! Our CFO, Josh Spiegel, actually played in the tournament with his team, the Saratoga Maple Sticky Bandits, raising nearly $17,000 for this wonderful, local cause. Trans-Border is beyond proud of Josh and the Saratoga Maple Sticky Bandits fundraising efforts this year, and honored to have contributed to their fundraising efforts and cheer them on during the tournament!

Today is the last day of the tournament, so there is still time to donate if you can!

In honor of Women's History Month, we selected The Women's Fund of the Capital Region as our charity of the month for March!

The Women's Fund of the Capital Region is a program of the Capital District Women's Employment & Resource Center (WERC), serving women and girls in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, and Schoharie counties. Their mission is to build a community where all women are empowered through education to be self-sufficient and fulfill their potential by providing grants to support scholarships and emergency funds for female students in the Greater Capital Region to achieve their degree goals.
