Step back in time and cool off in style! 🍨 ✨ From creamy shakes and fizzy floats to shaved ice and dreamy sundaes, we're serving smiles from our vintage Airstream! What started out as a dream from a family camping trip to Fla in December 2021 became a reality 1 month later....kind of! We purchased this vintage Airstream west of Des Moines IA, that had a rotted floor and was virtually gutted! So be

gan the 6 month and 4-day process to get it ready for a health dept inspection prior to the local county fair! It is still a work in progress with some fine details, polishing, bathroom, a few hundred more rivets to install and much more to go! The restoration included but not limited to shell off to make rusted frame repairs, axles removed to clean metal and spray rust encapsulater on the entire frame and cross members. AC, DC and lighting for the turn signals etc.) Plumbing overhaul and rearrange. new water pump, water heater, vent fans, air conditioner, belly pan, too much to list! Easier to say the only thing original is the outer shell, windows and most of the frame, otherwise this has been completely restored!

A few more micro museum items on display came from right here at 295 E Penn Ave! Did you know our building used to be a grocery store? We don't recall when the Meek's grocery shut down officially, but this building has been in our family since 1987. We have the bumper stickers that hung above the cash registers on display, and the original hours of business placard that was on the front door. Also the pop stock list that was found when doing some renovations. We even found some "vintage" toiletries in the old abandoned medicine cabinet that you might have found on the sales floor shelves! YIKES, THAT STUFFS REALLY OLD!

Another feature in the Roseville Micro Museum is the actual movie rewinder used by Lawrence Hickman at the Larose Theater! The theater sat in the cluster of buildings on South Main where the bank is currently at. The movie poster was made based on a movie that would have played there in the late 1940s. While the film reels aren't original, they are similar to what would have been used, and rewound by hand when the picture show was over! The theater was ran by Fred and Luan Kirby at one time.
