Today we celebrate an incredible milestone as we congratulate one of JANTRAN’s finest on his retirement after 40 years of dedicated service as a Captain, Line Boat Pilot and Fleet Pilot.

For four decades, he has been a steady presence on our vessels —dependable, professional, and committed to getting the job done right. While never one to seek the spotlight, his quiet leadership earned the respect of all his crews who had the privilege of working alongside him. His example showed that true leadership isn’t always measured by words, but by consistency, integrity, and the trust you build over a lifetime.

The Arkansas River has been his workplace, his challenge, and his passion, and JANTRAN has been fortunate to have him behind the sticks for so many years.

Thank you Doug, for your unwavering dedication, your safe leadership, and your countless contributions to our company and our crews. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement. May the next chapter bring you and Linda all the time with your family you missed during your hitches.
