🇺🇸 LOAD INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRIVERS
1️⃣ Check the Rate Confirmation (RC)
As soon as you receive a load, read the RC (Rate Confirmation) carefully.
You must know:
• Weight
• Size / dimensions
• Rate
• Miles
• Pickup & delivery addresses
2️⃣ Plan Your Route
Enter the pickup address in Google Maps and Trucker Path.
⚠️ When empty you can use regular roads.
Trucker Path sometimes shows longer routes for trucks.
Always think ahead about mountains, narrow streets, and traffic.
3️⃣ Send ETA
Immediately send your ETA to the group.
Example:
ETA 11:00
Update ETA:
• when you receive the RC
• after pickup
• before delivery
This helps dispatchers coordinate with the broker.
4️⃣ At Pickup
• Go to the shipping office
• Provide the pickup number
While waiting:
✔ Ask for cargo dimensions
✔ Check how much space is left on the trailer
This helps dispatchers find a partial load.
5️⃣ Prepare the Load
Before loading:
• Plan how you will strap and tarp the cargo
• Prepare chains or straps
This can save 30–60 minutes.
6️⃣ Bill of Lading (BOL)
After loading:
• Sign the BOL
• Scan the document clearly
• Send it to the group & DATA Truck app
⚠ If the document is not clear, you may not get paid.
7️⃣ PTI – Check Your Truck
Every time you refuel, do a walkaround inspection.
Check:
✔ Tires and pressure
✔ Lights
✔ Straps / chains
✔ Trailer axles & bolts
✔ Truck & trailer brakes
Use Engine Brake + Tow Haul while driving.
8️⃣ Proof of Delivery (POD)
At delivery ask for:
• Full name
• Signature
• Date & time
Scan clearly and upload to the POD app.
9️⃣ Save Documents
Keep all BOL papers in a folder.
Bring them to Chicago office when you arrive.
🔧 Truck Maintenance
Oil change — every 10,000 miles
Fuel filters — every 20,000 miles
Trailer hub oil — check every 2–3 days
