34' Arno Day designed traditional lobsterboat. Traditional cedar planking on oak frames and backbone.

Winter storage season again! Not obvious from the shop, but we have a storage building out back. Most of this space is spoken for, but still room for another boat or two.

Members of the Rockport Boat Club pitching in to launch its fleet for the summer sailing program; 7, J-C9s; 6, 420s, and 3 chase boats. Many hands make for still heavy work! Malone Boatbuilding stores the fleet off season.

For most masts the commercially made spreader boots work just fine, but sometimes you just need something custom. Here's a boot I made out of elk hide and stitched in ploce.

In the shop we've been doing considerable varnishing on this classic 42' McGruer sailboat. It was built in Scotland in 1970. Another job was re-bedding the cabin portlites. They were leaky.
