Carrier negotiating tip of the day
I see this load posted at 8am I call I want $2000 they say $1700 firm, I hang up. Don't find a load we want entire day, however this load has been up also constantly getting reposted. The absolute moment i see it go from $1700-$1800 posted rate I know im in. But even if the rate wasn't posted/changed I would still know by 1pm they are struggling to cover as well.
In this market I don't post my trucks; not much point and also it prevents brokers from knowing I am also having issues to cover 😂. Call back I ask for $2000 he tells me let me check, comes back $1800 firm. I tell him you didn't cover it entire day I know its not about to fly off the shelf I need 2k.
