Sharing the Adventure of Flight

For more than 60 years, the Southeastern Minnesota Flying Club has safely and economically delivered the excitement of personal aviation and aircraft ownership to area pilots. Based at the Rochester International Airport (KRST), the Southeastern Minnesota Flying Club offers members the opportunity to pursue their passion for aviation as co-owners of a fleet of modern aircraft.

Our mission is to promote an interest in, and a public appreciation of, aviation in all respects. As fellow pilots, we strive to provide economical access to safe, well-equipped, comfortable and attractive aircraft. As ambassadors of the broader aviation community, we take pride in sharing our pursuit with others. Whether through participation in outreach programs such as EAA's Young Eagles or Aviation Pathways, through sponsorship of educational seminars such as AOPA's Rusty Pilots, or through sharing our knowledge and experiences with fellow Club members at our monthly business and safety meetings, we aim to be visible, active role models for general aviation.

If you're already an active pilot, we offer affordable access to a variety of airplanes suited to missions ranging from local sightseeing to regional day trips to long cross country flights. If you are a pilot whose experience has lapsed, a pilot who wants to add a new rating, or if you're an aviation enthusiast yearning to become a pilot, training is available right at the Rochester airport.
