The photo on the right was taken by Anne Fox of Broomes Island, MD. I used her photo as inspiration for the painting on the left.
Janet Schmidt Wells is my friend and Anne's neighbor. She wrote:
"Spectacular! What a delightful surprise! Looks like a sweet and sinister portrayal of the scene. I watch this osprey swoop with his talons and snag a blue fish as large as the best fishermen and sit on the pier and rip it alive with that beak and send shivers down my spine.
"Your art, like your soul has a gentle friendliness that begs to come join her and share her view. Love the contrast. She has twins again this year 🪶🪶"
